Ohio State’s Justin Fields one of eight Manning Award “Stars of the Week”

The Ohio State Buckeyes easily took down Florida Atlantic University. They won the game within the first seven minutes, scoring four touchdowns in quick order to race out to a 28-0 lead.

It was five-star Georgia transfer quarterback Justin Fields that was responsible for the team’s first four touchdowns as well. He ended the game totaling five touchdowns and over 295 all-purpose yards.

However, after the first quarter, Fields and the entire Ohio State offense stalled. But, his overall performance put him on the Manning Award’s “Stars of the Week” along with eight other big-time performing quarterbacks.

The Buckeyes were impressive for eight minutes and only moderately impressive for the other fifty-two. They were always supposed to crush Florida Atlantic, so mission accomplished more-or-less.

Cincinnati will be another story, and the Buckeyes will be tested in their Week 2 home matchup. Fields will be called upon again to help his team notch its second win of the year.
