The Big Ten Conference doesn’t do a full-out preseason All Big-Ten list or even pick the favorites to win each division and conference any longer. Instead, it publishes a list of Preseason Big Ten Honorees — five from each division regardless of position.
And wouldn’t you know it, there’s two Ohio State players appearing as East Division honorees. Both juniors, defensive end Chase Young as well as J.K. Dobbins have been recognized. The other honorees from the East Division are linebacker Joe Bachie and defensive end Kenny Willekes from Michigan State and another defensive end, Yetur Gross-Matos from Penn State.
Ohio State and Michigan State are the only two teams to have two players represented in either division. Somewhat surprisingly, Michigan has none.
