Ohio State running back J.K. Dobbins named Earl Campbell Tyler Rose National Player of the Week

The notoriety is pouring in for some of the Ohio State football players this week. Chase Young, Jordan Fuller, Justin Fields, Jeffrey Okudah, and J.K. Dobbins have already been recognized in some way, shape, or form this week.

Now you can add another one for Dobbins. According to a release by the Earl Campbell Award, he has been named its Player of the Week. The Award goes to the best college football player from Texas yearly, but they also recognize a Texan each week. And since the 5-10, 217 lb. junior is from La Grange, Texas, well — it all makes sense.

Dobbins had himself a career day against the Wisconsin Badgers. He rushed for 163 yards and 2 touchdowns on 20 attempts (7.2 avg.), and also chipped in two catches for 58 yards for 221 all-purpose yards. All of this against statistically the best defense in all of the FBS coming into last weekend.

Congrats on another slice of publicity for Dobbins.
