Ohio State remains No. 5 in latest AP Poll

The AP Poll has been released for post-week 1 action. For Ohio State and the top-five at large, nothing changed.

Although some wins were more convincing than others, Alabama and Clemson remained firmly at No. 2 and No. 1. Following them were Georgia, Oklahoma and Ohio State at 3 through 5.

LSU, Michigan, Notre Dame and Texas round out 6 through 9. However, after Texas, we see Auburn, who jumped into the top ten after a defeat of Oregon in what was easily Week one’s best game.

As for the Buckeyes, they cruised to an easy victory over Florida Atlantic in Week 1, defeating the Owls 45-21. The Bucks did raise some eyebrows after being up 28-0 in through just one quarter, while being outscored 21-17 by FAU the rest of the way.

For Ryan Day and Ohio State, all that matters is that they came out with a win and can now work on some things. That said, Ohio State will get its first real test as they take on the Cincinnati Bearcats in their Week 2 matchup.
