Ohio State got another big verbal commitment today with the announcement of 4-star 2020 linebacker Kourt Williams out of St. John Bosco High School in Bellflower, California. Williams took to Twitter to announce via a personalized commitment video seen above.
Momentum started to go Ohio State’s way here recently, especially after the big Buckeye Bash Barbecue recruiting night that was held on June 21. Since then, Ryan Day and co-defensive coordinator/secondary coach Jeff Hafley have built a great relationship with the 6-1, 216 pounder that 247Sports ranks as the No. 12 outside linebacker and 162nd overall prospect in the class of 2020.

It didn’t hurt that several other Buckeyes had been in his ear trying to recruit the services of one of the best linebackers on the West Coast either. In the end, the pull of playing for Ohio State and being around the relationships within the program won out over his other four finalists — Tennessee, Oklahoma, Texas A&M, and Penn State.
