It was expected by most, but it’s still big news on the recruiting trail for Ohio State. According to a video from the Charlotte Observer, four-star defensive lineman Jacolbe Cowan out of Providence Day High School in Charlotte, has committed verbally to play for the Buckeyes.
At 6-5, 265 lbs., Cowan was being courted by the likes of Georgia, Oregon and Tennessee, but in the end, the pull to play for Larry Johnson, one of the best defensive line coaches in the country was too enticing.
Cowan is rated as the No. 15 defensive lineman and No. 165 rated overall recruit in the entire 2020 class according to 247Sports.
