Ohio State reserve quarterback Jack Miller has been suspended indefinitely from the team after an arrest for operating a vehicle while impaired (OVI). Bucknuts was the first to report the news, but since then several outlets, and even Ryan Day himself have confirmed the incident, providing a statement to WBNS 10TV in Columbus.
“We released a statement. Obviously, we’re thankful nobody was hurt,” Ryan Day told 10TV after the news. “As you can assume, (Miller) is struggling a bit right now, but again, thankful nobody was hurt.”
Miller, from Scottsdale, Arizona, is third on the depth chart currently behind starter C.J. Stroud and backup Kyle McCord. He is a former four-star prospect that’s had a few chances to get in games during mop-up duty this season. In four games, he has completed seven of 14 passes for 101 yards.
According to the citation from the Ohio State Highway Patrol, Miller was stopped early Friday morning at 1:28 a.m. EDT while driving northbound on 4th Street toward 15th Avenue. He refused a breathalyzer test and has since been released from Custody. He is scheduled to appear in Franklin County Municipal Court on Nov. 11.

We’ll have more on this story as further developments occur, but should Ohio State need to dig deeper into the depth chart, true freshman Quinn Ewers will be making the trip to Lincoln as presumably the third quarterback in the pecking order.
