Ohio State quarterback Jack Miller reinstated to football team

Ohio State redshirt freshman quarterback Jack Miller has been reinstated to the football team according to an Ohio State spokesman. Miller had been suspended indefinitely for an OVI charge he received in early November.

“Ohio State University student-athlete Jack Miller has been reinstated to the Ohio State football team,” OSU said in a statement. “The charge issued against him of operating a vehicle while impaired has been reduced to a minor misdemeanor traffic offense. Miller has fulfilled all of the obligations required of him and the legal case is now closed.”

Miller’s absence elevated freshman five-star quarterback Quinn Ewers to No. 3 and had him traveling with the team and available to play should the need arise. Now that Miller is back in the fold, we’ll have to see how the depth chart plays out going forward as the Buckeyes finish up the regular season against Michigan State and Michigan over the next two weeks.

Ohio State continues its preparations to host No. 7 Michigan State on Saturday in a cataclysmic matchup that will go a long way in determining the Big Ten and College Football Playoff race.
