Ohio State players in the 2019 NFL Draft: Dwayne Haskins picked as 15th overall pick by Washington Redskins

And he’s off the board. After much speculation and conjecture, former Ohio State quarterback Dwayne Haskins has been taken probably a little bit later than expected in the 2019 NFL Draft. Apparently the rumors of a slide had a bit of truth to them as the Washington Redskins selected Haskins with the 15th overall pick.

Simply put, Haskins had the best single-season of any Ohio State or Big Ten quarterback in the history of the league. He re-wrote Buckeye passing records that might stand for quite some time. He possesses a cannon of an arm and can make any throw in the book. He also won the Big Ten’s Offensive Player and Quarterback of the Year.

At 6-3, 220 lbs., he is a prototypical pocket passer with extreme accuracy, a high football IQ, exceptional character and a tireless work ethic. He was only the sixth college quarterback of all-time to throw fifty touchdown passes in a season, and he’s got the chance to be the face of the Washington Redskins franchise.

If it’s possible to say a first-round quarterback is a steal, Haskins dropping here might fit that bill.
