The line is out for this Friday’s game on the road in Evanston against the Northwestern Wildcats. According to BetMGM, Ohio State has been installed as -27.5 favorite over the reigning Big Ten West Division Champions.
The season hasn’t gone as hoped so far for Pat Fitzgerald’s crew, but that doesn’t mean the Wildcats won’t pose some challenges for Ohio State. First and foremost, it’s a quirky game coming off a week off. Not only can Ryan Field be a weird place to play with the chance of windy conditions, but the game is on a Friday night and the Wildcats have a solid defensive scheme that will call for patience on offense.
The Buckeyes will still have to be on task and focused, and avoid looking ahead to a monumental clash against Wisconsin the following week.
