The Ohio State football team is starting to turn heads. Of course we knew it would when everyone got to see Ryan Day, Justin Fields, and company work their magic in real, live games. And it’s starting to come from all corners of the college football world.
ESPN’s Kirk Herbstreit has the Buckeyes in his top three, and several other websites and publications have moved OSU up to the top spot in the Big Ten. Many have even come around to including Ohio State in the projected College Football field.
And you can add another media member to the list of those sold on what’s cooking in Columbus.
That’s because FOX Sports main college football analyst Joel Klatt likes what he’s seen from Ohio State. So much so that he went on record during the broadcast lauding the Buckeyes’ defense, skill, and athleticism across the board. After all, he’s seen two games now personally for Ohio State, so he’s probably as qualified as anyone.
Now he’s also put it on the record in writing as well. Klatt, in releasing his top ten teams after week three has the Buckeyes at No. 2A, right there with Alabama at 2B. Clemson is the only team Klatt has ahead of Ohio State, with the remainder of his top ten below.
Ohio State has many challenges still ahead against teams with more skill, but so far so good on the young 2019 college football season.
