Ohio State men’s tennis advances to semifinals of Big Ten Tournament

The Ohio State men’s tennis team did exactly what it was expected to do by knocking out the Minnesota Golden Gophers 4-0 Friday. The win advances the Buckeyes to the semifinals of the Big Ten Men’s Tennis Tournament.

The No. 8 seeded Golden Gophers were no match for the No. 1 ranked team in the country. The Buckeyes easily won the doubles point to go up 1-0, then got singles wins from J.J. Wolf, John McNally and Martin Joyce to clinch 4-0 and halt the rest of the matches quickly and efficiently.

The Buckeyes will next take on No. 4 seeded Michigan at 10 AM Saturday. It’s another chance to beat TTUN in another sport. The winner advances to the Finals against the winner of No. 2 seed Illinois and No. 3 seed Penn State Sunday.
