Ohio State locked into second place at NCAA Wrestling Championships

Thought it’s not official, Ohio State cannot mathematically catch Penn State for first the team title at the NCAA Wrestling Championships. The Nittany Lions have a commanding 123.5 to 96.5 lead over the Buckeyes and have five wrestlers competing for a national title to Ohio State’s three.

OSU leads Oklahoma State by 11.5 points also cannot catch the Buckeyes, so the scarlet and gray will be locked in at second place for the second-straight year to Penn State.

But that doesn’t mean all the rooting is done. The three OSU wrestlers going for a national title are all going against No. 1 seeds and all will need an upset to get it done. Any one of them winning the whole thing would be monumental.

You can catch those matches beginning at 7PM tonight on ESPN.
