Ohio State leads Michigan by three at halftime in tough shooting game

Both teams have gone through some stretches of making shots, but both have had more than their fair share of not putting the basketball through the hoop in Columbus. Ohio State is shooting just 40.6 percent from the floor, while Michigan is making only 38.5 percent of its shots. It was just enough for the Buckyes to lead at halftime by a 32-29 pedestrian score.

Duane Washington got OSU going in the early part of the first half, and finished with twelve points at the break to lead all scorers. He went 4 of 9 from the field, but 3 of 4 bombing away from beyond the arc.

Kaleb Wesson has struggled however against the front line of the Wolverines. He’s gone just 1 of 9 from field, and has yet to hit a two-point bucket, nailing just one three-pointer.

For Michigan, it has had pretty even scoring. Three players have six points, including Isaiah Livers, John Teske, and Zavier Simpson.

Ohio State needs to find more offense in the second-half, most notably with an effort to get Kaleb Wesson going. It’s doubtful that Michigan will have as poor of a scoring half as what it did in the first twenty minutes.

Now to finish the deal.
