Ohio State in top ten of best 2020 defensive end in the state of Michigan

Ohio State has made the cut for Michigan’s best defensive end for the 2020 recruiting class.

Braiden McGregor is listed as 6-5, 248 lbs., and rated as the No. 4 overall prospect in the state of Michigan, and the 201st rated recruit in the country according to 247Sports. He is out of Port Huron, Michigan.

Ohio State hasn’t gotten much in the way of recognition from recruiting services when it comes to his commitment, but McGregor has OSU listed per a video released on his Twitter account. And why not? Why wouldn’t he want to play for Larry Johnson and Ohio State who have churned out top-level NFL defensive lineman at an extraordinary clip.

Also, don’t discount the Al Washington factor here in his recruitment. Washington came to OSU as one of the steals from the Michigan staff and could have a big hand in his recruitment.

Also appearing in McGregor’s top ten are LSU, Michigan, Penn State, Alabama, Clemson, Miami, Notre Dame, Oregon, and Florida. There is no timetable for a decision presently, but we’ll stay on top of any further developments.

Ohio State — per usual — is already stacked on the defensive line, and stealing the best defensive end out of the Michigan would only put more salt in the wounds (there are multiple) of the Wolverine program.
