When Urban Meyer announced his retirement, you expected some damage control to be underway with some recruits that thought they’d be playing with one of the best coaches in the game.
Lejond Cavazos was one of those guys. As a 6-1, 190 lbs, the safety out of renowned IMG Academy in Florida originally committed to Ohio State as a four-star product, then opened up his commitment once Meyer rode off into the scarlet and gray sunset.
Since then, it appears Ryan Day and the Ohio State coaching staff have been working hard to get him back in the fold, and in fact, we’ve seen some signs of him warming back up to the Buckeyes.
Now, he has announced his top six, and OSU is again included as a potential landing spot to come full-circle. Cavazos has also included the date and time of April 12 at 6PM for the reveal.
Also in his top six are Georgia, Miami, Florida, LSU and Oregon.
