If you didn’t know the seeds or the names of the schools playing, you would’ve had a hard time picking out the team that was supposed to be favored. Throughout their shocking over-time win over No. 2 seed Ohio State, Oral Roberts never looked overmatched and, in the end, when the Big Ten squad started to fade, the Summit League champs turned it on.
Max Abmas, who scored 29 points, and the 15th-seeded Golden Eagles were just too much for Buckeyes and we got our first upset of the 2021 Men’s NCAA Tournament.
Oral Robert’s win busted just about everyone’s bracket, it didn’t stop the sports world enjoying the upset and clowning Ohio State as soon as Duane Washington Jr.’s game-tying shot clanked off the rim.
