Ohio State gets huge win over Indiana at Big Ten Tournament, boosts NCAA Tournament Resume

The Ohio State basketball team looked downright awful at times this year, but after getting past Indiana today in the Big Ten Tournament 79-75, it may not matter because the Buckeyes may have just punched their ticket to the NCAA field.

Coming into the game, this matchup was billed as an elimination, bubble-popping game with both the Buckeyes and Hoosiers right on the cut-line of the Big Dance.

But OSU played well with its back against the wall, forcing ten turnovers in the first half, ballooning a lead up to twenty points in the second half, and hanging on for a tight victory.

In his return, Kaleb Wesson was more than effective, shaking off any rust to score a double-double with seventeen points and thirteen boards. He took a huge charge at the end of the game to effectively seal the deal for Ohio State as well.

If Wesson had a good game, Keyshawn Woods had a great one. He made clutch shot after clutch shot, including a basket with under one-minute left and Ohio State up just three. He finished the day with a team leading eighteen points, seven rebounds and four assists. He was nails.

The Buckeyes will now look to keep things going with a matchup against No. 1 seed Michigan State tomorrow. Play like they did today defensively, and there’s a chance to keep the journey going.
