Ohio State forward Kaleb Wesson listed as sixth best college basketball player for 2019

Ohio State basketball big man Kaleb Wesson flirted with the NBA waters during the offseason, but ultimately returned to Ohio State for his junior campaign. He’s reportedly working on feedback he got through the process on how to better refine his game to take it to the next level.

One of those things includes a trimmer body, which there is physical evidence of, but there’s also other things like staying out of foul trouble, footwork, etc. that he’ll no doubt be focusing on.

According to ESPN, he’s going to be one whale of a player this basketball season regardless. In fact, according to the worldwide leader in sports programming, he’s rated as the No. 6 player in all of college basketball.

We’ve seen flashes of what Wesson can be when his conditioning and foul-trouble aren’t problems, so you expect him to make that next step if he’s taking some of that feedback to heart. But is the sixth best player too high?

We hope not. Frankly, if he ends up being that good, Ohio State is going to have one heck of a season.

So who’s No. 1? According to the piece (subscription required) by ESPN, the top five players include Michigan State’s Cassius Winston at the top spot followed by Markus Howard of Marquette, North Carolina’s Cole Anthony, Udoka Azubuike of Kansas, and Louisville’s Jordan Nwora.
