Ohio State Football Recruiting: 2021 five-star prospect Emeka Egbuka has Buckeyes in top ten

The Ohio State football program already has one top-ten recruits in the Class of 2021, but will be looking to make it two with Emeka Egbuka’s announcement.

Egbuka just released his top-ten potential destinations, all of which have already offered the five-star recruit a scholarship. He’s currently the No. 8 recruit in the nation and No. 1 athlete in the Class of 2021.

Egbuka released the list on via his Twitter feed Thursday, and it includes USC, Washington, Alabama, Clemson, Ohio State, LSU, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Stanford, and Oregon. There’s quite a bit of firepower among those ten schools.

All top places for recruits, Egbuka is from Washington, giving the West Coast schools potentially a leg up. It’ll also be interesting given the Fair Pay to Play Act just passed in California. Egbuka could factor that in although it doesn’t officially become law until later in his collegiate career.

Here’s the epic graphic Egbuka used to announce his top ten.

Egbuka has already visited Columbus. According to Bucknuts, the high school junior was impressed with his visit.

“Everything from the campus, to the facilities to the coaching staff, to Real Life Wednesdays was great. I love (Ohio State wide receivers) coach (Brian) Hartline. He is definitely one of my favorite coaches for sure. I have a feeling he could develop me the right way.”

The popular Ohio State fan site also noted that Egbuka is being recruited as a wide receiver. Although a big if, the Buckeyes would have the another potential game changer on the outside if Egbuka chooses the Buckeyes and ends up at that position.

The Buckeyes already have a commitment from the No. 2 player in the nation according to 247Sports, defensive end Jack Sawyer.
