Ohio State Football ranked third best place to coach in the country according to Athlon

Those of us who love Ohio State Football would say there is no better place in the world to coach. Sure it’s high pressure, but not many other places have the kind of fan base loyalty and endless resources as OSU. Besides, high pressure gives more potential for high reward.

Athlon sports recently set out to set out to rank all 130 FBS coaching jobs, a task that isn’t certainly no easy undertaking. And to be honest, there is a lot of opinion that goes into a ranking of this sort. But they did it nonetheless.

They based their rankings on things like location, money, and tradition among others, but ultimately asked the question “Where would we want to coach?”

Ohio State came ranked No. 3 on their list behind Alabama at No. 2 and Georgia at No. 1 (queue the SEC bias card). Of course these things can be cyclical, but for right now, that’s where they believe things stand.

The next closest Big Ten team on their list? Michigan… who doesn’t even crack the top 10 coming in at No. 11. (Sorry Wolverine fans, they just keep kicking you when you’re down).

Regardless of what these rankings say, the Buckeyes are always No. 1 in our hearts. Why would you want to go anywhere else?
