Ohio State football lands Northwestern transfer linebacker

During this past weekend former Northwestern linebacker, Nigel Glover, took visits to Ohio State Kentucky and Michigan.

The Clayton, Ohio native needed to make a quick decision, due to the nature of his transfer. Glover left the Wildcat program recently because of the firing of head coach Pat Fitzgerald and the hazing allegations.

That meant that he would be eligible immediately and thus needed to make a quick decision and today announced his commitment to Ohio State. Glover, who was recruited as a safety but will play linebacker, stands 6-foot, 3-inches and weighs around 210 pounds. As a prospect, he was not offered by the Buckeyes but was ranked as the No. 30 best linebacker and 335th overall player according to the 247Sports Composite Rankings.

The expectation is that Glover will arrive on campus shortly as fall camp is set to begin on Thursday. He fills an immediate need, especially after missing out on 2024 linebacker Kyngstonn Viliamu-Asa.
