It’s that time of year when the watch lists start to trickle out, and one of the first ones to announce belongs to the LOTT Impact Trophy. There are a total of 42 nominees on the watch list for 2019 and Ohio State safety Jordan Fuller made his way on it — for good reason.
A 6-5, 205 lb. senior this upcoming season, Fuller broke into the starting lineup his sophomore season in 2017 and was second on the team in tackles that year, and first on the team last year with 81 total tackles. He made the second team All-Big Ten media team in 2018 and was also a captain on the team.
More than that though, Fuller has been active off the field as well. He has won numerous scholar-athlete awards, and has been a part of several impactful groups on campus. He helped lead an on-campus seminar dealing with sexual assault and violence, and is also a part of the RAS (Redefining Athletic Standards) organization whose purpose is to provide voices for black student-athletes.
Fuller is definitely making an impact and deserves to be on the LOTT watch list. We’ll have to see how it all plays out in 2019 as the list narrows.
