Ohio State Football expects a four-game suspension for DE Chase Young

The Ohio State Buckeyes may be without DE Chase Young till the end of the regular season as the school expects a four-game suspension. This was first reported by ESPN’s Kirk Herbstreit.

Here’s exactly how Herbstreit phrased it.

“Ohio State expects star defensive end Chase Young to be handed a four-game suspension for accepting a loan from a family friend, sources told ESPN’s Kirk Herbstreit.”

Young was open about what he did, accepting a loan from a family friend. However, who that friend was and how big of a loan was accepted will both ultimately determine the penalty he’ll face.

For now, he’s already ruled out against Maryland and, if what Herbstreit says comes to light, he’ll miss games against Penn State and Michigan, ultimately putting the team’s CFP chances in jeopardy.

This would be a huge development for Ohio State as Young has 13.5 sacks and recorded four in the Buckeyes biggest game of the season against the Badgers.

He’s a projected top-five pick in the 2020 NFL Draft.
