Ohio State Football: DE Zach Harrison calls starting “A dream come true”

Someone had to step up for the Ohio State Buckeyes, and it was Zach Harrison whose number was called against Maryland.

As many know, Chase Young, the projected top-five pick with 13.5 sacks on the season, did not play against Maryland. He was suspended by the university for taking a loan from a family friend.

While all the details aren’t quite in and the final verdict hasn’t been rendered, we do know that someone had to fill in on the defensive line.

Five-star recruit and the top player from Ohio in the Class of 2019, Zach Harrison, answered the call and stepped up in a big way. Harrison had one of the team’s seven sacks and, when asked postgame, called starting a “dream come true.”

From Lewis Center, Ohio, just a few minutes north of Columbus, this was probably what Harrison dreamed of as a young high school football standout.

With this performance on the line, Harrison will likely find himself starting next week as well. Harrison may have a pivotal role in the next few weeks if Young misses several more games as he’s expected to.
