The Ohio State football team held its pro day on Tuesday in front of a plethora of NFL scouts and coaches — and some other recognizable onlookers. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the NFL scouting combine was canceled and pro days around the country have become an even larger staple for the evaluation process.
Ohio State had a total 14 prospects take part in all of the festivities, and if you are interested in seeing the results, Jim Nagy has done a great job of compiling the official results and tweeting them out to the world. Nagy is the Executive Director of the Reese’s Senior Bowl and the results thread starts below.

We also wanted to highlight one stud and one OSU player that needed to do more from what we saw on Wednesday at the Woody Hayes Athletic Center. It’s important to remember that a pro day is not the end all be all of a team’s evaluation.
NEXT … The Buckeye Stud
Quarterback Justin Fields
As far as workouts go, Fields decided not to compete in the shuttles or the bench press, but did run a 40-yard dash. He blew the doors off the forty and most people saw it coming after he was rumored to be running a 4.41 in his workouts. Even though he set those high expectations last week, it was still shocking to see him hit 4.45. He also dominated and impressed during passing drills.
QB Justin Fields was clocked a 4.44 in the 40-yard dash he ran at Ohio State’s Pro Day today.

Just had a scout text me from the Ohio State pro day.
“That was the best QB workout I’ve seen in a while”@justnfields

NEXT … The Buckeye that needed to do more
Linebacker Tuf Borland
Borland is not one of the premier prospects coming out of Ohio State this year, but he did start for the Buckeyes for four years. Although no one thought he was going to blow up the gym, Borland had a rough (or some would say) “tuff” day.
Tuf Boreland is a LB prospect in the 2021 draft class. He scored a 1.32 RAS out of a possible 10.00. This ranked 1839 out of 2118 LB from 1987 to 2021.

The showing Borland had on Wednesday is unlikely to do anything to improve his draft stock, and now the questions surrounding his perceived poor performance against Alabama in Miami will only get louder.
The kid is a competitor though, and you can’t take that away from what he has to offer.
