Ohio State fencing wins Midwest Fencing Conference championship

In case you didn’t know, Ohio State is pretty good at feats of athletic endeavors. That includes things outside of football, basketball and other well-known sports.

One of those that OSU has been historically good at is fencing. To prove that point, this past weekend the Buckeyes took home another Midwest Fencing Conference championship.

The men had a first-place score of 810, and the women had a runner-up score of 765 for a total combined first place tally of 1,575. It’s the Buckeyes sixth-straight fencing conference championship as the women and men combined for five of the six individual championships.

It’s just another example of the excellence shown within in an athletic program that has thirty-six total varsity sports.
