Ohio State extends an offer to 6-10 Moeller center Logan Duncomb

On Friday, June 7, Logan Duncomb made it known to the world that Chris Holtmann, the head coach of the Ohio State Buckeyes extended him an offer to come play basketball in Columbus.

At 6-foot-10, Duncomb would bring elite size to the Buckeyes and would give them a force down low that they’ve lacked over the last several seasons. Not technically ranked yet, Duncomb clearly still has room to improve.

However, it’s good to see Holtman being proactive and finding in-state talent to start his recruiting process early on.

That said, Duncomb released his surprise to the public on Twitter Friday afternoon probably just a few hours or so after being told of his offer.

A rising junior, it’ll still be a few seasons before Duncomb become eligible to play for OSU. But, that likely won’t stop him from pushing himself harder every day knowing of his future in Columbus.

Only time can tell if extending this offer this early was a wise move from respected head coach Chris Holtmann.
