Ohio State exceeded expectations for four-star recruit Jacolbe Cowan

The Ohio State recruiting team has done it again. While they didn’t get a verbal commitment from four-star cornerback recruit Jacolbe Cowan, they were able to impress him.

Cowan is the 12th ranked defensive end in the nation. For Ohio State, securing a commitment from Cowan is of utmost importance given how offense-heavy their recruiting success has been.

In the Class of 2020, Cowan would be joining the likes of top-ten recruit Julian Fleming in Columbus, and if his desires are anything similar to his recent visit, Buckeyes fans will be seeing more of this young man.

Per Letterman Row, Cowan and his family was very impressed with Ohio State.

“The family and I had an amazing time this weekend,” the 6-foot-5, 270-pound Cowan told Lettermen Row as he departed campus on Monday morning. “Going into the visit I had really high expectations, and Ohio State definitely exceeded them.”

Exceeding high expectations is something Ohio State does on an annual basis. That said, don’t be surprised when you hear of yet another four-star-or-better commit signing with the Buckeyes.
