Ohio State early 3.5 underdog to Michigan according to Golden Nugget

Different year, same story. The Ohio State Buckeyes will open up as 3.5-point underdogs against their most hated rivals, the Michigan Wolverines. But, considering the disrespect they’ve been receiving nationally, this doesn’t come as a shocker.

Yes, the Buckeyes lost Urban Meyer. Yes, they lost Dwyane Haskins. But, we’re talking about the Ohio State, a team that’s beaten the Wolverines seven-straight times, and fourteen of the last fifteen – the last three of which have been in Ann Arbor.

The odds-makers just never learn.

A new season, a new team. There’s no telling how this game will play out, so Golden Nugget, the casino that came out with these rankings, in my opinion, gave an overall fair opening line.

However, Michigan will be far from an easy challenge. The Buckeyes and Wolverines are the only two Big Ten teams in ESPN’s post-spring game rankings.

Even with a rookie head coach, the Buckeyes came in at No. 5 on the rankings, as they’ll be led by standout quarterback Justin Fields.

At the same time, they’ll be in a hostile environment with a few individuals that have yet to truly captain the ship of a team at the collegiate level in a game of that magnitude. I mean at some point, TTUN has to break-through right?

A -3.5 favorite is one of several that’ll come out before the actual game that’ll be played on November 30. If history continues, though, that would be a great bet!
