Ohio State center Josh Myers heading to the NFL

Ohio State center Josh Myers is one of the best at his position in college football. Now he’s planning on making a name for himself and will try to become one of the best centers in professional football.

Myers was a finalist for the Remington Award which goes to the nation’s top center annually. He was also a first-team All Big-Ten selection this past season. There was some chatter that Myers might return for one more go around in scarlet and gray, but projected as an early-round draft pick is hard to pass up.

With Myers leaving, Harry Miller will most likely slide over to the center position where he was the second-rated prospect in the 2019 class. Luke Wypler may also compete for the starting center position as Miller started at left guard all of 2020.

Myers joins Shaun Wade and Drue Chrisman as other Buckeyes who have announced decisions to enter the 2021 NFL draft.
