Everyone is excited about the incoming freshman class for Ohio State. As the 13th ranked recruiting class in the country, and top in the Big Ten, the four newcomers will look to put their stamp on the program beginning this winter.
With the mix of new blood with that of what’s in the cupboard already, the Buckeyes are sure to be a very deep team that has a chance to contend for some pretty big things.
But with any new player coming into a team that already has some established pieces, each has to serve his time and prove himself. With that comes a choice of jersey number.
Ohio State shared the jersey numbers of all four freshman via Twitter today, and we’ve got them for you.
New point guard and highest overall recruit D.J. Carton will wear No. 3, E.J. Liddell No. 32, Alonzo Gaffney No. 0, and Ibrahima Diallo No. 15. The numbers being issued might make news today, but hopefully each freshman’s contribution on the court makes the news tomorrow.
