Ohio State basketball’s Quadrian Banks named Master Strength and Conditioning Coach

Ohio State basketball’s strength and conditioning coach Quadrian Banks has received the highest honor someone in his field can receive. Wednesday, the program announced that Banks has been named Master Strength and Conditioning Coach by the Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches association (CSCCa).

Master Strength and Conditioning Coach Jeff Madden will present Coach Banks with the blue MSCC Jacket, May 6, 2021, in Fort Worth, Texas, at the 2021 CSCCa National Conference. The ceremony for 2020 was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The following is an excerpt on Banks background from the release from Ohio State.

“Banks came to Ohio State three years ago after a year in performance and conditioning with the Indianapolis Colts. Before he worked with the Colts, Banks was the assistant strength and conditioning coach for the Philadelphia Eagles. Prior to joining the Eagles, he was the director of athletic performance for two seasons at Gardner-Webb University. He also served as the assistant strength and conditioning coach at the University of Mississippi (2008-10) and University of Richmond (2007-08).”

This is a huge honor for the program and Banks. To have someone of his caliber shaping and molding the young men in the Ohio State basketball program is a feather in the cap.
