Ohio State basketball recruit E.J. Liddell’s team wins Illinois state championship

By now you know Ohio State has one of the best recruiting classes in all of college basketball coming in for 2019, but it’s worth noting players that don’t just have individual talent, but that are winning teams. More often than not, it says a lot about how they make those better around them.

Count four-star forward E.J. Liddell out of Belleville, Illinois in that bucket because his Belleville West team just won the Illinois state title 71-59 Saturday night over Evanston.

It’s Liddell and the team’s second-straight 4A Class state title,

Liddell was a major contributor in the game, posting a double-double of 24 points and ten rebounds. He also looked for his teammates — garnering six assists and has been a force all year.

He’s already won the Prep Hoops Illinois Player of the Year, and Ohio State fans should be awfully excited for what this kid can bring to Columbus next year.
