Ohio State basketball grad transfer Seth Towns detained by police after peaceful protest

According to multiple reports, Harvard graduate Seth Towns, who transferred to the Ohio State basketball program was detained during a peaceful protest Friday night in downtown Columbus.

The news was first broken by the Columbus Dispatch (subscription may be required), and anonymous sources cited by the paper indicate that Towns was not arrested, but was held by police for a short time because he did not move when asked to do so. No charges were filed either.

A picture shared to Twitter clearly shows the 6-foot, 7-incher being held by police. Towns graduate from Northland High School and chose to attend Harvard where he just recently graduated with honors. He then decided to continue his basketball career back in his home town with Ohio State as a graduate transfer.

Video also surfaced of Towns being held by police in the midst of all the protesting Friday night.
