Ohio State basketball gets No. 11 seed in NCAA Tournament, will face Iowa State

The wait is over. Ohio State was thought to be fairly safe in terms of getting into the NCAA Tournament, but it was a little too close for comfort. In the end, the body of work — including the win over Indiana — was just enough.

The Buckeyes were selected as a No. 11 seed and will play Iowa State in the first round of the Midwest bracket — missing the first four slate of games in Dayton. It’ll play the winner of Houston and Georgia State if it can knock off the Cyclones.

The game versus Iowa State will be Friday in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

The No. 1 seed in the Midwest is North Carolina (playing in Columbus), with Kentucky being the No. 2 seed. But the early path for the Buckeyes appears to be a little easier than what it could have been as far as chances to pull an upset or too.
