Ohio State basketball cracks top fifteen of Associated Press Top 25 poll

The Ohio State basketball team is quietly putting together a pretty impressive season, and the pollsters are starting to notice. After starting the season with some peaks and valleys, the Buckeyes have won three-straight in impressive fashion, two over ranked Rutgers and Illinois squads.

There’s still a lot of the season to go, but OSU has now put itself in fourth-place in arguably the best basketball conference in the country, and have an impressive 11-3 record with impressive out of conference victories over Notre Dame and UCLA, both away from home.

Because of that body of work, the Associated Press college basketball poll has moved Ohio State up six spots from the last release, all the way to No. 15.

Ohio State is on a move towards the top ten, but still has a ways to go. Right now that top ten consists of Gonzaga (1), Baylor (2), Villanova (3), Iowa (4), Texas (5), Tennessee (6), Michigan (7), Houston (8), Kansas (9), and Wisconsin (10).

Ohio State continues its journey on Tuesday as it plays host to Purdue at 6:30 p.m. EST.
