The 2020-2021 Ohio State basketball season may be over as all the madness still continues in March, but the future is bright with some of the guys head coach Chris Holtmann and staff are bringing in. One of the highest-rated recruits the Buckeyes have had in a long time is guard Malaki Branham out LeBron’s high school, Akron’s St Vincent-St. Mary.

According to the 247Sports Composite Rankings Malaki is ranked as the top prospect in Ohio, the No. 29 overall player in the 2021 class, and the No. 6 overall shooting guard in the nation as well. His skill set is varied and impressive.
We thought it might be good to share Branham’s highlight video so you can get a little better idea of what type of player he is. He’s a long shooting guard who is phenomenal in the open court. He’s got great athleticism, a touch from the outside, and an elite ability to finish at the rim.

Holtmann has said that Branham will instantly provide Ohio State with a much-needed boost on the court with what he can do, and it’s easy to see that he’ll make OSU a much more athletic and dangerous scoring team instantly as long as the transition to college goes as we expect.
