Ohio State basketball a 5.5 dog against Iowa State per BetOnline

The Buckeyes get the benefit of playing one of the last games of the opening rounds of the NCAA Tournament Friday night, so we might continue to see this line move. Right now however, Ohio State is currently a 5.5 point underdog against the Iowa State Cyclones according to BetOnline.

That’s moved a bit since the Buckeyes opened up as a 6.6 point underdog, then moved to an even 6.0 before settling in at the current line today.

There’s reason to believe Iowa State should be favored by even more. The Cyclones just blew through the Big Twelve Tournament to win the whole thing, while Ohio State fell rather meekly to Michigan State and have been wildly inconsistent throughout the year.

That being said, if the Buckeyes can play their game with an effective Kaleb Wesson down low, and get a continued hot-hand from guard Keyshawn Woods, they could make life difficult for the No. 6 seeded Cyclones.

Just three more days before Ohio State tries to show the world what it can do in Tulsa.
