Ohio State baseball team wins fifth-straight, takes down Hawaii 7-5

The boys on the diamond are starting to get on a roll.

Ohio State used good starting pitching by Seth Lonsway, who went six innings, gave up one earned run on six hits, while striking out nine to earn his third win of the season. Andrew Magno got his fourth save of the year.

In-between that, it was a little sketchy, but Ohio State hung on for a 7-5 victory over Hawaii for its fifth-straight win thanks to some hot bats.

The Buckeyes pounded out thirteen hits led by Brady Cherry’s two for three day that included a home-run and two RBIs. Dominic Canzone, Connor Pohl, and Zach Dezenzo also had multiple hits in the game.

Ohio State has significantly improved its record over the last week and now sit at 13-10 overall. It will take on Hawaii for the last game of the series tomorrow at 1:05 PM at Bill Davis Stadium.
