Ohio State baseball team rallies in ninth to take down Ohio 10-8

The Ohio State baseball team got back in the win column Tuesday with a 10-8 win over the Ohio Bobcats in Athens, and it did it in dramatic fashion.

The Buckeyes entered the top of the ninth inning down one run 8-7, before some two-out lightning hit. Down to the last out, Connor Pohl delivered an RBI single to tie things before captain Dillon Dingler added two more runs with a double to put Ohio State up 10-8.

From there, Andrew Magno closed the door in the bottom of the ninth for his second win of the season and Ohio State got a much needed win all while it continues to try and find some consistency.

The Buckeyes got out to an early 3-0 lead in large part because of a two-run homer from Nolan Clegg in the second inning, but the Bobcats rallied to take a 5-3 lead in the fourth inning and extended it to 7-3 in the fifth.

But Ohio State scored three runs with two outs in the eighth, and continued the two-out magic in the ninth to persevere and run its record to one game over .500 at 17-16.

Ohio State will host Dayton Wednesday before preparing for a huge weekend series against Michigan.
