Ohio State Baseball selected for Nashville Regional of NCAA Tournament

We already knew they were in by virtue of being the automatic qualifier from the Big Ten for winning the conference tournament, now we know where and who the Buckeyes will play in the 2019 NCAA Baseball Tournament.

The field was unveiled today at Noon, and Ohio State will face off with the overall No. 2 national seed Vanderbilt on Friday at 7 PM Eastern. Based on the positioning, Ohio State is clearly the No. 4 seed of the four teams in Nashville and supposedly the second to last seeded team in the entire field.

But don’t tell that to the Buckeyes. They have hit their stride at just the right time and could be a dangerous out for Vanderbilt and others. The starting pitching is starting to come alive, the offense is on a hot-streak, and shut down closer Andrew Magno is a warm glass of milk when time to close the door on a contest.

The other three teams making their way to the Music City are Indiana State and McNeese. Let’s let all the fun begin!
