Ohio State at Nebraska to be night game on ABC

We have breaking news as it relates to one of the games on Ohio State’s 2019 football schedule. Per a release from the university and the Big Ten, the contest between Nebraska and Ohio State on September 28 in Lincoln is set to kick off at 7:30 PM Eastern and will be televised by ABC.

It’s not a surprise that this game was chosen as a night-time affair, especially after ABC picked up the game. While FOX has been flexing its biggest games to the Noon window, the ESPN family of networks has continued to promote the biggest matchups in prime time. Ohio State traveling to Lincoln would qualify for a rather significant tussle between what I’m sure the network hopes will be two teams undefeated in Big Ten play at that point.

Traveling to play Nebraska on the road has been earmarked as a potential trap game for Ohio State, and now with it being a nighttime affair, it could become a big-time deal for the Cornhuskers.

One has to wonder if it’ll break out the alternate jerseys it teased earlier in the year for this one.
