Ohio State 2021 commit Donovan Jackson makes MaxPreps All-American

Highly-touted Ohio State 2021 offensive lineman commit Donovan Jackson has been named a MaxPreps First-Team All-American for the 2020 season. He’s actually the only Buckeye commitment to be named to the All-American squad.

But before you get too upset, remember that the pandemic resulted in a lot of kids missing out on their senior football season due to opt-outs or simply not having games. Still, it’s a little surprising others didn’t get on the team — especially for a class that’s currently ranked a consensus No. 2 in the country.

But back to the gut that did make it. Jackson is ranked as the top offensive guard and No. 18 overall prospect in the class according to the 247Sports Composite Rankings.

As an offensive lineman, there aren’t a ton of stats we can throw at you, but Jackson has all the measurables at 6-foot, 4-inches, 308-pounds to compete for a spot in the rotation on the offensive line immediately. He is not a part of the massive numbers of early enrollees in Columbus, but he’s already signed during the early signing period.

Not only does Jackson have the size straight out of the box, but he’s athletic and equally adept and run and pass protection.

Congrats to Jackson for getting this recognition he so justly deserves.
