Ohio State 2020 4-star RB target sets decision date

There’s been a few Ohio State targets set commitment dates as of late, and now we have another one to add to the list. Four-star running back Jaylan Knighton announced his intention to pick his school of choice on Twitter Tuesday, and it looks like we’ll all be sitting around counting the minutes on July 30.

The Buckeyes are also waiting on the decision of five-star running back Bijan Robinson out of Arizona, but the prevailing thought is that Ryan Day and staff would like to take two backs in this class, so Knighton would fit in nicely.

But Ohio State has competition. Besides the Buckeyes, the 5-9, 194 pounder out of Deerfield Beach, Florida also has Miami, Clemson, LSU, Oklahoma, and Florida State in the mix. According to 247Sports Crystal Ball predictions, the Buckeyes seem to have the edge, but there’s enough big boys in play for things to go the other way.

Knighton is currently rated as the No. 3 all-purpose back and 108th overall recruit in the class. OSU would love to land him, and we’ll find out if that’s the case in about three weeks.

As soon as news breaks, we’ll have it for you here at Buckeyes Wire.
