Ohio Stadium to add WiFi for 2019 football season

Rejoice Ohio State fans with limited data, you won’t have to fret anymore. Ohio State is adding WiFi to “The Shoe” for the 2019 season.

While many changes will take place this fall, one will be of utmost importance to those in the stands. That’s the installation of the new WiFi that was showcased by Athletic Director Gene Smith on Twitter.

Smith displayed a sleek Ohio State logo on the railing that will likely hold the WiFi hubs. To be fair, this couldn’t have been a cheap addition.

Adding those all around a stadium that seats 100,000 has to be expensive. It’s interesting that Ohio State values the fans’ WiFi enough to give them full access during the games that they should be watching.

For some, it’s been a long-time coming, but pulling off something of this magnitude couldn’t have been easy.

However, you aren’t going to be hearing any complaints here. We love it.
