Ohio native and Class of 2021 LB Reid Carrico commits to Ohio State

The Ohio State Buckeyes get a commitment from linebacker Reid Carrico, continue to bolster Class of 2021.

This is huge for Ohio State that could eventually boast one of the best classes of 2021. Carrico is the team’s fourth four-star commit and will join five-star defensive end Jack Sawyer on what’ll be a dynamic Buckeye front.

This commitment comes just days after Ohio State absolutely clobbered Cincinnati. After a 42-0 beatdown, in which Carrico attended, the university got a commitment from the junior.

“It just felt like I was home there. It feels like I’m supposed to be there. And I have the best relationship with the coaches there. When I was there Saturday I just felt like I should be a Buckeye,” Carrico told Bucknuts.

Let’s just say Ohio State is excited to get Carrico on the roster.

“They were fired up when I told them (I was committing),” Carrico told Bucknuts.

With two of the top-ten players of the 2020 recruiting class along with Sawyer in 2021, the Buckeyes continue to thrive at recruiting these young talented players under Ryan Day.

Carrco, a 6-foot-3 inside linebacker, is from Ironton, Ohio.
