Oh no — Broncos QB Drew Lock is a Chiefs fan

We’re sorry to have to report this, Broncos Country.

Drew Lock, the team’s new rookie quarterback, grew up as a fan of the Chiefs. It’s hard to blame him given that he was born in Missouri and played college football for the Tigers.

“I did not grow up a Broncos fan,” Lock said during a conference call with reporters on Friday evening. “I was a Chiefs guy.”

Boooooo!

There is good news, though.

“But I couldn’t be more excited to be able to go back to Kansas City and hopefully get a couple wins with ‘the bad guys.’”

Now we’re talking!

In all seriousness, Denver couldn’t be happier about landing their potential quarterback of the future. The Broncos traded up 10 spots in the second round of the draft to make sure they could land Lock.

“We’d do everything we could to make it happen,” general manager John Elway said during a press conference Friday.

The Broncos will face the Chiefs on Oct. 17 and Dec. 15 next season.
