'Oh my!' Jack Harrison returns to Leeds United pre-season training with a bang

Leeds United got their summer transfer deals up and running on Monday, with the club confirming three signings.

Centre-back Ben White arrived on loan from Brighton for the season, while promising teenage winger Liam McCarron has been snapped up from Carlisle for an undisclosed fee.

The third signing is a more familiar face for Leeds United fans, as Manchester City winger Jack Harrison is back for a second season following last year's loan spell.

Harrison made 42 appearances in all competitions for Leeds last year, netting four times and providing four assists - the last of these being his superlative ball to Kemar Roofe for the winning goal in the play-off semi-final first leg at Derby County.

The 22-year-old finished the previous campaign in good form and will be hoping to hit the ground running this term, as Marcelo Bielsa hatches his masterplan to improve on last year's third-place finish.

And it if Harrison's first day back at Thorp Arch for pre-season training is anything to go by, Leeds fans can be hopeful of a decent return from the loanee.

After his first full day back at the club Harrison shared a training ground video on Instagram of a superb strike.

Latching onto a pass over the top from Gjanni Alioski, Harrison takes one touch on the volley with his right foot to get past one of the training dummies before lashing the ball into the top corner with his left foot. Woof.

His team-mates appreciated the strike too, with plenty of them reacting on Instagram.

"Oh my," replied Kalvin Phillips, with Tyler Roberts adding "Well Helloooo".

"Them nikeys I told you," Barry Douglas chipped in with, while Will Huffer - the goalkeeper who was powerless to stop the shot flying past him and into the back the net tweeted that he 'didn't want to ruin the video' along with a smiling emoji.

Harrison will be looking to get up to speed this week before Leeds' pre-season friendlies begin on July 10 with a trip to York City.
