I'm in a difficult position here. The Forum for Private Buisiness is complaining once more about people setting up shop in the Channel Islands purely to offer cheaper prices than everyone else.
The difficulty is that I can see it's a problem for the competition - larger companies who can afford to set up can get around the VAT, smaller traders can't. Thing is, I also like getting my DVDs cheaply. And in fair competition, surely the people who offer me the best deal - without breaking any laws - should expect my business?
It would be interesting to hear from any retailers, large or small, reading this blog - and to get an idea of exactly why adopting a new sales channel which saves the consumer money is deemed so reprehensible.
